color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">The history of Julian\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"\" style=\"margin-left: 3px; margin-right: 3px; vertical-align: middle; -webkit-box-shadow: none; E. Fred Coleman found gold at Coleman Creek in 1869<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> after the civil war.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">After that, <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Drue Bailey<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0was a Confederate soldier who heard about the gold mine.\u00a0 He then move<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0he moved<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> from Georgia to the Julian area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">He founded and established this small town and named it\u00a0&#8220;Julian&#8221;
