Regular winter season items which you can get only in Trader Joe’s!

We finally got the end of 2020 🤔

 

We have been facing this pandemic situation for almost one year.

How was your 2020?

 

I was fired from my job due to the pandemic and I am having a difficult time now.

However, I started open water swimming and other hobbies so that I could develop new friends and so on.

I lost something, but I received some new things as well.  

Well, Thanksgiving is over and the Christmas season is coming! 

 

This time I would like to introduce some products which we can buy just only at my favorite food market, Trader Joe’s, during the Christmas season.

 

　Italian sweet bread called “Panettone“

Panettone is an Italian sweet bread originally from Milan, usually prepared and enjoyed for Christmas and New Year.

It has a cupola shape usually about 4 – 6 inches high and it contains candied orange, plums, raisins, and so on.

 

This is the Panettone. It is a Trader Joe’s original panettone, for sure!

 

We can see a pile of Panettone during the Christmas season in every Trader Joe’s store.

 

Whole Foods and other supermarkets are selling another brand of Panettone, but Trader Joe’s taste is so much different from them.

It is less sweet and the texture is soft. Trader Joe’s is the best Panettone for me so far.

Two different sizes. Small size (For one person, $1.79）and a big size (4 to5 people, $4.99）

 

Just eat without whipped cream, or toast it and eat with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream 

 

I wouldn’t eat with whipped cream or ice cream, I love to eat a simple style.

 

　Hot cocoa with marshmallow

Winter season makes you feel like drinking hot cocoa?

I highly recommend this Trader Joe’s Instant Hot Cocoa.

This is the instant Hot Cocoa.

 

Just put a wooden spoon with chocolate and marshmallow in the hot milk then stir it.

The chocolate melts slowly into the hot milk then you can make hot cocoa instantly. 

 

Just stir the spoon with hot milk.

 

At the end of each cup, three cute marshmallows will float in the cup 

This hot cocoa is less sweet and I love it so much! So I am looking forward to buying it every winter season!

 

However, I was surprised when I saw it for the first time. A wooden spoon with chocolate and marshmallow!

I love these cute ideas and product strategy of Trader Joe’s  

 

A few weeks ago, when I went to our local Trader Joe’s, I met a Japanese couple who was looking for it. The wife told me

that they buy as a souvenir for their friend in Japan every year.

It costs just $0.99! It is cheap so good for a souvenir, I think.

 

🧑🏿‍🎄The other recommended sweets

Well, I have two more sweets which I buy repeatedly from Trader Joe’s.

 

The first one is  “Dark Chocolate Batons”

Plain (Light blue), Raspberry (Pink), and Espresso (Blown)  and it costs just $0.99!

 

These are chocolate buttons!

 

My favorite is the Raspberry one! Once put it in my mouth, I can feel grainy Raspberry. Also, I love the bitter and sour taste! 

It goes well with coffee or tea 

 

Stick shape and easy to eat.

 

The second one is “Cheesecake Cones”.

This is the cheesecake cone. It is small!

 

It is a frozen dessert so it should be defrosted before you eat it.

※There is an explanation on the box that it must be defrosted for about 20 minutes. But I recommend eating it half defrosted.

It does not feel like heavy cheese taste so it is easy to eat it.

Anyway, it is a small size so you can eat without any guilty lol 😆

 

I haven’t seen it for a while, but they had started to sell it again. Sometimes Trader Joe’s changes or stops selling some items.

It costs $3.99, 4 cones in a box. It’s an affordable price, right?

 

Only in the winter season, can you get these Panettone and Instant Hot Cocoa! Why don’t you go to Trader Joe’s and try them!

 

We are still struggling with this pandemic situation.  I hope we can get together with family and friends in 2021 without wearing masks and any fear!
